This retreat is open to all nature lovers!  Men & women of all ages, and yogis of all levels - whether you are a complete beginner or have a regular practice, this retreat ensures to NOURISH, inviting a deeper awareness into our bodies, minds and indeed lives! – all it requires is an open mind & heart!

Nature Hikes, Waterfalls & Wild Swimming

The nature around Mount Abruzzo is jaw droppingly stunning!  There will be several options for hiking, incuding a half day hike through the mountains exploring the beautiful fauna & flora of the area and along the riverside to "shower" in the cool 50ft waterfall!  Another less intense but equally as stunning walk takes us through an old abandoned village with views of the mountains and lake before finishing with a cold swim in the lake below.

Organic Movement

We have the unique opportunity of practicing on the beautiful wooden forest platform, surrounded by the trees and hearing the breeze and the birds all around us.  In this tranquil environment we can look to the nature for inspiration & support for our own body movement. 

Organic movement is a guided intuitive practice where we explore a range of motion & mindful mobility combining balance & strength with somatic & conscious movement to unlock & release blockages, help heal recurring injury and find an overall deeper awareness of the body mind soul connection.

Accommodation

At the foot of Mount Abruzzo National Park, we stay in this Italian family Organic Farm,  located in the small village of Pescosolido. 

Step out of your door in the morning to see the sun rising and breathe the freshh mountain air.

The area around the farm is one of the most beautiful places in Italy; mountains, waterfalls, hiking trails, lakes, wildlife, and many interesting ruins, churches and castles are right on the doorstep and furthermore, not filled with tourists like many other parts of Italy.

The nearest town is Sora, a beautiful 40 minute walk through the countryside, where you will find many shops, cafeterias, restaurants (& gelatarias!) and also many bus and train connections.  It's also often possible to get a lift into the town or get picked up by one of friendly locals!

Accomodation

All rooms have that special vintage charm of old Italy, while still clean and modern - a perfect mix to keep you cool and comfortable whilst soaking up the history and culture of this special place.

Relax in one of the many hammocks in the garden, explore the vegetable and herb garden, pet the donkeys, goats or chickens or if you are lucky you will catch Giuseppe, the farm's Nonno - showing you how he makes his own Olive Oil & wine!

The Food!  Farm to Table & Homemade with LOVE

We cannot invite you to Italy without talking about the food.  Not only will enjoy traditional Organic vegetarian homecooked meals by the family but we will also learn about permaculture, see, smell, feel and of course taste all the vegeatbles and herbs that are grown right on the land we are staying on!  Enjoy pasta making with Maria, the Nonna of the house and let Giuseppe, the Granpapa, show you how he makes his own Olive Oil, Honey and Wine!

(Fear not if you are gluten or dairy intolerant!  80% of the dinners are lovingly cooked organic vegetables so you won't be missing out!)

A unique, heart warming & authentic experience

I visited the farm in July 2023 for a week and was captured by the warmness, generosity and authenticity of the place and it's people, which is why I chose it for this special retreat,.

My teachings and theme for this (and all my retreats) are based heavily on authenticity - That journey within to discover our TRUE SELVES - which can be a difficult one - especially with so many distractions in day to day life, so many "masks" we feel we have to wear in the different roles we play, in each and every connection we make.

When we put ourselves in environments where dropping the mask is encouraged, where there is no mask, people show up as they are, we find ourselves in a safe space to do exactly the same, and from this we are so much more open to receiving - deep and true connections are formed through our senses - with nature, with one another and of course with ourselves.

Getting Here

The farmstay is located directly between Rome and Naples, about two hours from each city, and is well served by buses, trains, and highways. 

By Bus : The closest bus and train station is in the nearby town of Sora. There are regular buses from Rome and also Naples which cost around 10-15 euros.  Once in Sora we can collect you.

Shared Transfer:  We can happily provide a shared transfer and collect you directly from Rome Airport/Centre.  We will liase with all participants closer to the date of the retreat to determine a neutral pick up point and time to make it economical and convenient for everyone!  The cost will be around 45euros per person.

Private Transfer: If you would be like to be picked up directly from the airport/your hotel and brough directly please contact us with the details so we can arrange it and give an accurate quote.

Car Hire: Alternatively hire a car and go at your own pace!

8am - Yoga on the Forest Platform

11am – Mountain & Waterfall Hike

4pm - Return to farm to rest

8pm – Dinner & Sharing Circle

Day 3: Saturday

9:30am - Morning Yoga

11am - Brunch

Free Time

(Explore the town of Sora, hike to the castle on the hill or simply enjoy the garden and beautiful surroundings.  Lunch is not included this day to allow for enjoying the cafes in the town, but can be provided if requested)

6pm - Organic Movement in the Forest

7:30pm – Dinner in a Local Family's House

Walk under the stars back to the Farm

Day 4: Sunday

8am - Morning Yoga Flow

9:30am – Breakfast

11am – Nature Walk to Abandoned Village with Mountain & Lake Views.  Option for Wild Swimming in the Lake

2pm - Light Lunch at the Lake Cafe

Free Time - Wander in the Sunday Market or rest back at the farm

5pm - Pasta Making with Nonna Maria

8pm - Final Dinner & Sharing Circle
